Joanne Liang
As Treasurer and Director of the Department of Restoring Refugees, Joanne has been active in assistance to Iraqi, Syrian and Sudanese refugee families in Jordan since 2012, both independently and through collaboration with other organizations. Living in Jordan from 2009 to 2015 permitted her to know and understand the culture, the people and their needs.
Joanne is joyfully fulfilling her passion and call to service the refugees by developing long-term strategies to assist them. Since 2017, she has spearheaded fundraising projects geared toward food, clothing, and emergency assistance for refugee families. As Director, she creates and manages program budgets and implements the various programs for the refugees in Jordan. She oversees the disbursement of aid to refugees as well. As Treasurer, she believes that proper management of funding and operations is part of the key to success to Restoring Faith, Inc.
Joanne has 33 years of previous combined experience working with charitable non-profit organizations and serving on various boards, including one in which she founded along with her husband, Phillip. Her interests include writing, traveling, gardening, cooking and baking.
