The Easter Distribution of food coupons is complete! Christian refugee families who did not know if they would have a decent holiday meal were sweetly surprised with a visit by Alucia with enough food coupons not only for the Easter week of Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday, but also for the entire month. Thanks to the shout out by Pastor Mike Winger on his YouTube, and because of your generous response to support the Easter effort, we were able to provide food coupons and add many more refugee families to benefit. This was such a blessing.
Alucia was also able to read story of the
Resurrection in the Scriptures, and pray with the families. She said that though they can be highly discouraged in their dire circumstances, they know the hand of the Lord has reached down to them and surrounds them with His grace and mercy. How? Through all of you who partnered with Restoring Faith to make this happen!
When we are reminded that we can rejoice in experiencing resurrection in our lives every day, we go forward with renewed hope. We hold onto this Scripture found in 1 Peter 1:3: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." Thank you for joining us in passing on that very hope to the refugee families every opportunity we get. You are such a blessing to them!
